The new Garden Centre at Trago Mills, in Newton Abbot, is now the largest garden centre in the South West. Working closely with the Client and Architect we were able to suggest alternative construction techniques that saved the Client approximately £250,000.
WBM Groundworks Ltd were responsible for the construction of the entire external sales, collection and delivery areas, constructed the majority of the display gardens, out buildings and the extension to the Carpet Warehouse.
The works consisted of bulk earthworks, foul and surface water drainage construction, sustainable drainage systems, reinforced concrete foundations, reinforced concrete slabs, reinforced concrete retaining walls, block retaining walls (stone faced), timber crib walling, road construction, service diversions, block paving (11,000m2), sheet piling, brick work, plastering and decoration.
